Job summary

CarShop Mount Holly is hiring a skilled Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles in a high-volume shop. Earn a competitive annual range with performance-based incentives and a sign-on bonus up to $6,000, reflecting experience and productivity.

Qualifications

• ASE certification preferred with 2-5 years of experience required.
• State and Emissions License preferred.
• Strong work ethic and reliability for fast-paced shop.
• Proven track record of meeting performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, transmission, brakes, and A/C systems.
• Work on domestic and import vehicles with efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide labor and time estimates for repairs.
• Explain repairs clearly to service advisors and customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and test repaired vehicles.

What will you do?

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning to specification
• Work on a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles, not just warranty repairs
• Perform work outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealer and manufacturer standards
• Complete full automotive troubleshooting and testing
• Propose creative, practical, and cost-effective solutions to problems and process improvements
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a clear, non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional repairs
• Ensure vehicles are repaired accurately and kept clean; road test vehicles to ensure quality repair the first time
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment

What skills do you bring to the role?

• ASE certification preferred with 2-5 years of experience required
• State and Emissions License preferred

• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding performance goals as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic
• Working knowledge of shop equipment including diagnostic tools, alignment systems, wheel and tire equipment, and A/C equipment
• Strong communication and customer service skillsTeam-oriented, flexible, and focused on delivering a high level of customer service
