Job summary

Bergey’s Inc. in Souderton, PA is seeking a skilled automotive technician/mechanic. The role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles across areas of service, with opportunities to specialize in certain repair domains. A strong background as an A Level general mechanic is preferred.

Pay is up to $125,000 per year, based on experience. This is a full-time position with no Sundays and path for advancement within Bergey’s Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram-Souderton location.

Qualifications

• ASE Certifications are required.
• Manufacturer Training is required.
• State Emission Certification is required.
• State Vehicle Inspector Certification is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs work as an automotive technician outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs mechanic repairs.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer as an automotive technician.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended as a mechanic.
• Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order as a mechanic.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test automotive technician.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Summary

Functions as a skilled-level automotive technician/mechanic who is able to perform diagnoses and mechanic repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair and who has previously worked as an A Level general mechanic and auto technician.
