Job summary

Bergey's Ford- Ambler, PA is seeking a skilled automotive technician who can diagnose and repair across areas and specialize in specific systems, with prior experience as an A or B-Class technician.

This full-time role offers a sign-on bonus based on experience, a no-Sundays shift, comprehensive benefits including 401k with profit sharing, medical, dental and vision coverage, paid training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications required for service work.
• State Emission Certification may be required.
• State Vehicle Inspector Certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Pre-employment background checks and drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs repair per order with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and performs repairs.
• Orders and obtains needed parts from the parts department.
• Saves and tags parts for warranty or customer request.
• Inspects vehicle to identify required safety or service work.
• Notifies service advisor of additional work or timing issues.
• Documents all work on the repair order.
• Road-tests vehicles when required or directs to test technician.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Pay: $50000 to $125000 / year

• Sign on bonus based on experience*

Shift: Full Time- No Sundays

Summary

Functions as a skilled-level technician who is able to perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in particular areas of repair and who has previously worked as an A or B-Class general service technician.

Essential Duties

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
• Other tasks as assigned.
