Team Car Care Dba Jiffy Lube in Lake Charles, LA is seeking an Automotive Technician for a part-time on-site role. You will service guest vehicles, perform brakes, engine work, electrical diagnostics, and routine maintenance with guided training.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of automotive experience.
• 1-2 years working on brake systems.
• Provide training and supervision to the store’s apprentice teammate.
• ASE certification in A5 - Brakes.
• ASE certifications in engine performance, suspension & steering, electrical systems, heating & air conditioning preferred.
• Automotive technical or trade school degree a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on-time and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service with clear communication about guest vehicles.
• Ensure the service center workstation is clean and presentable.
• Perform complete disc or drum brake service and related repairs.
• Diagnose and explain braking system issues to customers.
• Diagnose vehicle issues across engine performance, suspension/steering, electrical, heating and AC.
• Use shop software to provide estimates for parts and labor.
• Road-test vehicles before and after service to ensure work meets standards.
• Secondary duties may include lubrication, fuel services, tires, and gearbox service.
