Job summary

Pep Boys Careers is seeking a skilled automotive Technician in Lilburn, GA. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a range of automotive systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will explain diagnoses to customers and coworkers, mentor junior technicians, and stay updated with evolving automotive technologies in a safety-focused shop environment. Shift flexibility including days, nights, and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• 2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension & A5 Brakes).
• Section 609 certification preferred.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Availability for days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment per specifications.
• Perform maintenance services as required.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to coworkers and customers.
• Continuously learn new automotive technologies and techniques.
• Assist fellow technicians in performing technical activities.
• Keep management informed of mechanical repair problems.
• Maintain an organized and safe shop.
• Adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.
