Job description

Position Summary

A Technician must professionally inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an excellent customer experience. They should explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to co-workers and customers. Continuous learning of new technical information and techniques is essential to stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology. A successful Technician will also train and mentor co-workers and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications — including brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension, and alignment; perform all maintenance services.
• Perform duties of all lower job roles (Mechanic and General Service Technician).
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs clearly to non-mechanical individuals, including employees and customers, as needed.
• Engage in ongoing formal training to keep up with automotive technological advancements.
• Assist fellow technicians in technical tasks.
• Report mechanical repair issues to store management promptly.
• Maintain an organized and clean shop environment.
• Follow all company policies, safety, and environmental regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Two or more ASE certifications (preferably A4 and A5).
• Section 609 certification (preferred).

• Valid driver's license.
• Successful pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
