Job summary

Bridgestone America, Inc. in Florida is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our Bridgestone Retail Operations team. You will learn and perform vehicle diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance under experienced technicians, with a focus on quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include oil changes, inspections, battery and electrical system checks, tire installation, and road testing. ASE certifications encouraged and supported by the company.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes, basic inspections, repairing tires.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• 2 years of automotive repair experience or vocational training; ASE certification or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Install tires and related components.
• Road test vehicles.
• Pursue ASE certifications (Tests and registrations fees paid by the company).
