Avis Budget Group is seeking an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) in Chicago, IL to perform essential repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles. The role requires at least 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications and includes opportunities to advance ASE certifications.

You'll work on oil changes, brakes, suspension, and other routine services, with on-site duties and hands-on training; a complete toolset and basic computer skills

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience or automotive coursework with certifications.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with potential for 2 more in the first year.
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair and maintenance.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential mechanical repairs and maintenance on a diverse fleet of newer vehicles.
• Handle oil changes, tire repairs, brake work, suspension repairs, and routine services.
• Assist senior technicians with diagnostic and repair work as you build skills.
• Contribute to vehicle reliability and safety to reduce downtime and ensure readiness.
