Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) is hiring Automotive Technicians in Waukee, IA. You will learn to diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles under senior technicians, engaging customers to explain procedures and deliver high-quality service.

Pay range is $16.63–$24.99 per hour with flat-rate pay, and company support for ASE certifications. Benefits include paid time off, health coverage and access to training programs.

Qualifications

• Candidate must learn basic mechanical tasks and perform oil changes, inspections and tire work.
• Must drive customer and company vehicles with a valid license.
• Preferred ASE certification or equivalent training; vocational school background is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
• Inspect steering, suspension and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install parts.
• Road test vehicles and obtain ASE certifications within two years.

Skills

Ability to learn basic mechanical

Valid automobile driver's license

Basic automotive maintenance & tire

Reading, writing, and math skills

Education

Vocational-Technical School program

ASE certification or equivalent

2 years automotive repair experience
