Automotive Technician Apprenticeship Program with Kia (Veteran Opportunity)

Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to begin an inspiring career as a Kia Certified Service Technician. To support this initiative, Kia America, Inc. has established the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

Job Description

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Complete repair orders and warranty request orders in accordance with Kia and Retailer policies and procedures.
• Test drive vehicles, analyze, diagnose, and repair components and systems using Kia diagnostic strategies, special equipment, and tools.
• Perform services, diagnostics, and repairs promptly while communicating with the shop foreman and service advisor to ensure a positive customer experience.

Applicants are applying for full-time employment with a participating Kia Retailer, not with KUS or ERS. Employment is subject to applicable laws and regulations. KUS and ERS do not guarantee employment or warranties of employment to applicants. Employment decisions are at each Kia Retailer's discretion, based on eligibility, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• Honorable Discharge.
• Valid driver's license from any state with a clean driving record.
• Experience in a technical or mechanical field is required.
• Willingness to complete and pass drug screening and background checks.
