Job summary

Halfords Autocentre Apprenticeship in Suffolk offers hands-on training across servicing, inspections, repairs and diagnostics in a busy Autocentre environment. You will learn to diagnose and repair vehicles to high standards while attending college for day release.

The programme expects a customer-focused mindset, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn from mentors and college lecturers as you gain practical skills on modern car systems.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above (Or Equivalents).
• Friendly, helpful, team-oriented with a strong desire to build a career as an Auto Vehicle Technician.
• Interest in cars and solving problems.
• Able to use hands and have a strong and fit attitude to work due to the manual work involved.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance.
• Enjoys working and fixing problems with cars.
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge and skills to become a competent technician.
• Learn safety, engineering skills, vehicle inspection, servicing, maintenance, repair and diagnosing faults.
• Work on vehicles across engine, chassis and electrical systems.
• Work in a dynamic Autocentre environment with diagnostic techniques.
