Jerry's Chevrolet GMC of Vermillion is seeking an experienced Level A Service Technician who takes pride in doing the job right the first time. Join a team that values knowledge and experience, and stay current with today’s vehicle technology as you diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles.

Responsibilities include advanced engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake and electrical work, factory maintenance, and documenting findings.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
• GM experience is a plus, but experienced technicians from other manufacturers will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns on a wide variety of vehicles.
• Perform advanced engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake and electrical repairs.
• Complete factory maintenance and warranty work according to manufacturer standards.
• Use diagnostic equipment and service information to identify vehicle concerns.
• Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation.
• Document repair findings and recommendations clearly.
• Work with Service Advisors to keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
• Mentor and assist less experienced technicians when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
