Job summary

Grease Monkey in Smyrna, GA is seeking a Technician A with strong mechanical knowledge to perform brakes, rotors, oil changes, transmissions, cooling systems, tire services and related jobs. You will educate customers about maintenance needs and ensure quality workmanship in a fast-paced shop.

This is a part-time position paid hourly with a standard commission. Candidates should have 5+ years of related experience, ASE certifications, and a valid driver's license; emissions certification may

Qualifications

Five+ years of related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine tickets and notes.
Ability to present information clearly to customers.
Valid Driver's License required.
State Emission Certification- if applicable in your state.
Current ASE Certifications are a huge plus in this role.
State Vehicle Inspector Certification- if applicable in your state.

Responsibilities

Performs repair work outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
Handles more complex repairs and diagnostics than lower techs, including transmissions and engine work.
Assists in training other technicians.
Diagnoses issues and performs brakes, A/C, transmissions, steering and suspension repairs.
Documents work performed and communicates recommendations to customers.
Ensures safety and cleanliness of shop and proper tool maintenance.
Complies with all safety regulations and company SOPs.
