Job summary

Labriola’s Automotive in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose, repair, and service a mix of domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled shop with Autel and Snap-on diagnostic tools, and perform digital inspections to support accurate repair recommendations.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, the ability to work independently in a flat-rate environment, and excellent diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional automotive technician experience.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for a variety of vehicles.
• Ability to perform automotive repairs independently.
• Experience servicing domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
• Able to work in a flat-rate environment and produce flagged hours.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.
• Experience using professional automotive diagnostic equipment (Autel/Snap-on).

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting for drivability, electrical, and engine-performance concerns.
• Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
• Complete brake, suspension, steering, cooling-system, electrical-system, and engine-performance repairs.
• Use Autel and Snap-on diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle concerns accurately.
• Perform digital vehicle inspections (DVI) and document findings and repair recommendations.
• Coordinate with service advisors and parts staff to support efficient workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
• Complete repairs with a focus on safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.

• ASE certifications preferred but not required.
• Experience using professional automotive diagnostic equipment.
• A-Level Technician: $40-$50 per flagged hour, flat rate.
• B-Level Technician: $30-$40 per flagged hour, flat rate.
