Job summary

Jerry's Chevrolet GMC of Vermillion is seeking an experienced Level A Service Technician who takes pride in getting the job right the first time. If you enjoy diagnosing complex issues, staying current with vehicle technology, and collaborating with a team that values your knowledge, we’d like to meet you.

You’ll diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns across a wide range of vehicles, perform factory maintenance and warranty work, and document findings for service advisors and

Qualifications

• Several years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
• GM experience is a plus, but we’ll consider experienced technicians from other manufacturers.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties required in a service shop.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns on a wide variety of vehicles.

• Use diagnostic equipment and service information to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
• Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify proper operation.
• Clearly document repair findings and recommendations.
• Work closely with Service Advisors to keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
• Mentor and assist less experienced technicians when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
