Job summary

UPS is seeking an Automotive Technician to maintain a diverse fleet including delivery vehicles, heavy duty tractors, and trailers. The role covers diesel, gasoline, and alternative powertrains with hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine control.

You will work 2nd or 3rd shifts, Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday, depending on location, with uniforms provided and paid vacations offered. Ideal candidates have automotive experience, own a full set of tools, and may hold a Class A CDL.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
• Meets all requirements to be Power Industrial Truck Operations (PITO) certified.
• Must have PA State Inspection License.
