Job summary

B & E Auto Repair in Volga, SD is seeking a full-time Automotive Technician to tackle engine replacements, transfer case work, brakes, and diagnostics across a variety of makes and models.

You will use a Snap-on diagnostic machine, perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and ensure safety through quality control. Prior experience and owning tools are a plus; competitive pay ranges from $15 to $45 per hour.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic.
• Experience in major component replacement is preferred but open to all relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency with Snap-on diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Solid understanding of automotive systems, especially engines, drivetrains (transfer cases), and brakes.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced garage environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Having your own tools is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Heavy Mechanical Work: Perform full engine replacements and specialized transfer case work and repair exhaust systems.
• Vehicle Diagnostics: Use a Snap-on diagnostic machine to troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Brake System Repairs: Replace brake pads, rotors, and calipers; repair or replace brake lines as needed.
• Engine Tune-Ups: Perform basic engine tune-ups, including spark plugs and ignition coils.
• Routine Maintenance: Conduct oil changes, fluid flushes, and tire rotations.
• Quality Control: Inspect vehicles to ensure repairs are completed safely and correctly.

What You'll Do

Benefits & Compensation

• Pay: $15.00 - $45.00 / hour starting wage (Final pay structure is dependent on qualifications and can be set up as hourly or commission).

Business Hours

• Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 5:30pm


• Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
