Job summary

A & A Sales and Service in Statesville, NC is seeking a motivated Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles from start to finish. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and safety in a team environment.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with no weekend shifts and holidays off, and you’ll earn $20–$55 per hour based on experience and productivity. Ongoing training and opportunities for advancement are provided, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Automotive repair experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use modern scan tools and automotive diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and service information.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have your own basic automotive tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle concerns using scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and service information.
• Perform automotive repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Complete routine maintenance including oil changes, brakes, tires, fluid services, and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections and identify needed or recommended repairs.
• Diagnose and repair engine, cooling, steering, suspension, brake, electrical, HVAC, and other vehicle systems.
• Clearly document diagnostic findings and completed repairs.
• Communicate repair recommendations and technical information to service advisors.
• Follow established shop procedures and maintain accurate repair documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work as part of a team to keep jobs moving through the shop efficiently.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
