Job Summary

Seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team in Lancaster, Virginia. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles from various manufacturers. These vehicles' propulsion systems include diesel and gasoline. Automotive Technicians must be skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining systems such as hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.

Automotive Technicians must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday, or Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location’s needs. They must possess the required hand tools to perform their job.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Meet D.O.T requirements as required by the job assignment
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders and stairs, standing, walking, and turning/pivoting throughout the workday
  • Sit infrequently, as required
  • Exercise manual dexterity and reach from foot level to above shoulder level to complete tasks
  • Operate standard and manual transmission vehicles
  • Use power and pneumatic tools
Requirements
  • Must have an active driver’s license issued by the state
  • Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including varying schedules based on location needs
  • Possess the required hand tools for the job
Knowledge and Skills
  • Current documented automotive mechanical experience
  • Experience with diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and computers
  • Full set of personal hand tools
  • Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
  • Dependability and punctuality
  • Willingness to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required
  • Ability to work in variable environmental conditions
  • Effective communication skills

The starting pay for this position is $38.52 per hour. Hired applicants are eligible for weekly pay, extensive training, 401(K), pension plan, medical-dental and vision coverage after probation, $0 healthcare premium, paid vacation, sick leave, family leave, holidays, and employee stock purchase discounts.
