Job summary

Genesis of Smithtown is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems on Subaru vehicles. You will perform maintenance, use diagnostic tools, and stay current with Subaru procedures while communicating with customers and service advisors.

Qualifications

• B and C level technician experience, preferably with Genesis and/or Hyundai brands.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Must have a clean & valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical problems on Subaru vehicles, including engine, transmission, suspension, steering, and brake systems.
• Use specialized diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and troubleshoot issues, and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, according to Subaru guidelines and standards.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest technical information and procedures for Subaru vehicles, and participate in ongoing training and certification programs.
• Communicate effectively with customers and service advisors, providing clear explanations of repairs needed, estimated costs, and timelines for completion.
