Job summary

Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Technician for Napleton Mercedes-Benz of Rochester. The role involves performing vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards to build customer loyalty and trust in Napleton.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 18+ years of age for driving policy.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance as outlined on repair orders following dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs; explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanics.
• Keep abreast of factory bulletins and participate in training as appropriate.
• Maintain an organized work area and report repair problems to management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties assigned by manager

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
