Job summary

Sullivan Tire And Auto Service in Portland, Maine, is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform vehicle repairs and services, ensuring the highest quality and customer satisfaction. Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Mounts, dismounts, balances, and repairs passenger and light truck tires.
• Performs lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Documents vehicle safety inspections.
• Diagnoses and repairs vehicles, including maintenance and alignment.
• Produces accurate repair estimates.
• Ensures productivity and customer satisfaction standards.
• Maintains a clean work area by disposing of waste products.

Description

Sullivan Tire, an employee‑owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer’s vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Correctly mounts, dismounts, balances, and repairs of passenger and light truck tires.
• Properly performs lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars.
• Properly performs and documents vehicle safety inspections.
• Performs unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including, but not limited to, maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune‑ups utilizing automotive tools, equipment, and software (i.e., VAST, Automotive PC programs).
• Produces accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
• Works with store management to ensure productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards are met.
• Properly adheres to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicates with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assumes other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements
