Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in Minnetonka, MN is hiring an Automotive Technician to join our service team. You will learn diagnosis, repair and maintenance under experienced technicians, perform routine inspections, and engage with customers. A sign-on bonus of $1,500 is offered to first-time hires.

Earn $19.25–$28.93 per hour plus performance-based pay; progression includes ASE certification support and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Able to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Must have a valid driver’s license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance, tire repair, reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
• Perform inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance and install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certification in at least one of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment; company pays test fees and bonuses are awarded for each pass.

Position Summary

The Automotive Technician is a vital member of the automotive service team, learning diagnostic, repair and maintenance skills under experienced technicians. Pay Range

$19.25 – $28.93 plus performance‑based flat‑rate pay. Rates reflect average productivity by region and are compliant with all applicable wage requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.

• Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services, including oil changes, basic inspections and those requiring reading, writing and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2years of automotive repair experience or completion of a vocational‑technical school program in a related field.
• Demonstrated skills via third‑party certificates/assessments.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications or training certifications.
