Job summary

M&L Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Lexington, NC is seeking an experienced auto technician to perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, using diagnostic tools and dealer-standard procedures. You will collaborate with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed and ensure timely completion of work.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto technician.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Quick learner with strong communication skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Team player with a valid driver's license.
• Ability to keep the customer’s cars clean and work area organized.

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency to dealership standards.
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, brakes and electrical systems.
• Communicates with the Service Advisor to inform customers of needed additional work and time estimates.
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
• Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
