OVERVIEW

The Automotive Technician performs routine repairs and maintenance ranging from warranty, recalls, scheduled maintenance and customer pay. It is imperative that these tasks can be performed at the highest quality to ensure customer retention as well as an outstanding reputation. A successful candidate for the Automotive Technician position will have at least 3 years of experience in an automotive repair environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drivability, electrical diagnosis and air conditioning repairs.
  • Routine repairs and maintenance related to warranty, recalls, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Operate inspection software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an automotive repair environment including heavy duty truck or automotive repair.
  • Must possess computer skills.
  • Must possess personal tools necessary to perform repairs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • ASE Certifications or tech school degree preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate all shop equipment.
  • Self‑motivated and capable of working efficiently with little supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS

The Automotive Technician will stand six to eight hours per shift. Will lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete each essential duty satisfactorily.
