Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician for our Elmhurst location (Napleton's Elmhurst Acura/KIA). The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to dealer and factory standards while building customer loyalty through trust and clear communication.

Experience as an Automotive Service Technician is required, ASE certification is desirable, and a valid driver’s license is necessary.

Competenze

• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• Excellent customer service skills essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Valid driver’s license required and background check may be performed.

Mansioni

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as per repair order and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and colleagues clearly.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and participate in vendor training as appropriate.
• Keep management informed of repair issues as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area.

Located at Napleton's Elmhurst Acura/KIA, theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
