Napleton's Elmhurst Acura/KIA in Elmhurst, IL is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform repairs and maintenance to dealer and factory standards. You will diagnose issues, communicate with parts and service teams, and help build customer trust through quality work.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• ASE certification is desirable.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication required.
• Valid driver's license; must pass background check.
• Must be 18+ years old to comply with driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance as outlined on repair order in line with dealer and factory standards to drive customer loyalty.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction and perform repair.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical staff and customers.
• Stay updated with factory bulletins and participate in training.
• Inform store management of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Keep an organized work area.

Located at Napleton's Elmhurst Acura/KIA, theAutomotive Service Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
