Job summary

Napleton's Elmhurst Acura/KIA is seeking an Automotive Service Technician for vehicle repair and maintenance in a fast-paced setting. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues to build trust and loyalty.

Qualified candidates have automotive service experience, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to pursue training or ASE certification. Competitive wages, benefits, and training opportunities are offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order to dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer updates.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff.
• Stay current with factory bulletins and participate in training as appropriate.
• Maintain an organized work area and inform management of repair issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
