Jerry Biggers Chevrolet, Inc. in Elgin, IL, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join a busy, high-volume shop. With 33 bays and over 1,000 repair orders per month, you will perform basic to advanced maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.

We offer paid vacation, holidays, a 401K, health benefits, and monthly bonuses. Journeyman technicians start around $42 per hour and can advance beyond $65 per hour with experience and performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Vocational training or related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Learns Quickly.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Team Player.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ensures that customers cars are kept clean.

Responsibilities

• Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

We have 33 bays with over 1000 repair orders a month coming through our door. Every technician has at least 2 stalls. We have plenty of work in our shop.
