Job summary

Jiffy Lube is hiring Automotive Technicians for full-time and part-time roles in our Chicago-area service centers. You’ll learn routine maintenance with hands-on training from Jiffy Lube University.

No prior automotive experience required; we train you and offer opportunities for advancement as you gain certifications. A positive attitude and teamwork are valued as you help customers Leave Worry Behind.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and replace oil and air filters.
• Check and service vehicle fluids.
• Perform tire pressure checks and basic tire services.
• Inspect vehicles for leaks and maintenance needs.
• Under-vehicle inspections and basic services.
• Lubricate chassis and grease fittings; maintain clean, safe work area.
• Use automotive tools safely and provide friendly service.
• Work as part of a team to complete services efficiently.

We are looking for dependable, motivated people to join our team as Automotive Technicians. Whether you have automotive experience or are looking for your first opportunity in the automotive industry, we'd like to talk with you.

What You'll Do

As an Automotive Technician, you'll learn and perform a variety of routine automotive maintenance services, including:

• Perform oil changes and replace oil and air filters
• Check and service vehicle fluids
• Perform tire pressure checks and basic tire services
• Inspect vehicles for leaks, fluid levels and other maintenance needs
• Perform basic under-vehicle inspections and services
• Lubricate chassis and grease fittings as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
• Use automotive tools and equipment safely
• Provide friendly, professional service to customers
• Work as part of a team to complete services efficiently and correctly

You'll receive hands-on training and access to Jiffy Lube University to help you develop your automotive knowledge and skills.

As you gain experience and certifications, you'll have opportunities to advance into additional automotive and leadership positions.
