Job summary

Sullivan Tire Co. is seeking an Automotive Technician in Massachusetts (Bridgewater) to independently perform vehicle repairs and services, delivering high quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of experience with 1–3 ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include tire mounting and balancing, oil changes, inspections, diagnostic repairs, and accurate repair estimates using VAST and automotive PC software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A technical degree is a plus
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with 1-3 ASE certifications
• A valid Driver’s License is required
• Customer service focus in a retail environment
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs
• Basic conflict resolution skills
• Solid understanding of the automotive tire and auto service industry
• Basic understanding of VAST and automotive PC programs
• Basic math skills to produce accurate repair estimates
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Team player

Responsibilities

• Mounts, dismounts, balancing, and repair of passenger and light truck tires
• Perform lube/oil/filter changes on domestic and foreign cars
• Perform and document vehicle safety inspections
• Unsupervised diagnosis and repairs of vehicles including maintenance, brake, steering, suspension, heating and cooling systems, alignment, and light tune-ups using automotive tools and software (e.g., VAST)
• Produce accurate repair estimates
• Work with store management to meet productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction standards
• Adhere to safety and environmental standards and maintain a clean work area
• Explain repairs and value to customers and sales staff
• Adhere to internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Assume other responsibilities as needed

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, currently has an opportunity for an Automotive Technician. The Automotive Technician independently performs vehicle repairs and services on customer’s vehicles while delivering the highest quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Education/Experience

• Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards, including maintaining a neat and clean work area by properly disposing of all waste products.
• Communicate with customers and sales staff in understandable terms about the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value of the repairs.
• Adheres to internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.
