Job summary

Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Jasper, IN seeks an experienced Automotive Technical Specialist to own quality in a production pod. You will lead A3 problem-solving efforts, reduce test stand rejects and field warranties, and drive cost targets while delivering a high-quality product.

Ideal candidates have hands-on automotive or engine machining experience, strong data and communication skills, and the ability to partner with group leaders to maintain quality output on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive, engine machining, or mechanical manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to perform root-cause analysis (A3, 8D or similar).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams and data reporting tools.
• Ability to document findings, analyze data, and communicate technical information clearly.
• Strong communication and cross-team influence on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Quality Captain for a production pod and own overall quality performance.
• Lead and execute A3 problem-solving activities for warranty, test stand, and internal quality issues.
• Analyze warranty data and customer notes to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain work instructions and standardized processes.
• Support cost-reduction and sustain quality while meeting production targets.
• Lead validation and testing plans for new/vendor parts and existing processes.

Job Description:Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technical Specialist to step into a Quality role within our manufacturing operations.
