Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, is seeking an Auto Maintenance Tech to perform essential repairs and maintenance across a variety of vehicles in Oceanside, CA. This role offers a Monday–Friday work schedule and a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new hires.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain systems, and assist with upfitting new vehicles. Qualified candidates have up to 2 years of related experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to service standard, automatic and electric vehicles.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Current ASE Certifications: G1, A4, A5.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter changes and inspections.
• Diagnose and repair brake, steering, suspension, electrical systems and more.
• Replace tires, radiators, batteries and other components as needed.
• Source parts via approved vendors and assist with upfitting new vehicles.
• Follow safety and environmental procedures in all tasks.

What You’ll Do

• Complete routine auto maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fuel filter replacements, transmission flushes, spark plug replacements and vehicle inspections.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including brake, steering, suspension systems, starting and charging electrical/AC systems (including evacuation and recharge).
• Perform a variety of mechanical and component repairs, including tires, rear main seals, timing covers, radiators and interior/exterior components.
• Test, maintain and replace key components, including batteries and related electrical systems.
• Complete routine maintenance on shop equipment.
• Utilize approved vendors to source and obtain parts.
• Assist with upfitting new vehicles with required equipment.
• Comply with applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations, including proper handling of recyclables, fluids, tires and waste.

USD 24.09 - 36.11 per hour

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is in the range of $24.09 - $36.11/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
