Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician (A or B Level) in Fenton, MI. This full-time role offers a $27-$48/hr flat rate based on experience, plus a $600 weekly guarantee and potential to earn $100K+ annually for productive technicians.

You will work with modern diagnostic tools across domestic, Asian, and European vehicles, enjoying strong team support, steady workflow, and generous benefits. The position features weekly pay and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

6+ years of professional automotive technician experience.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Experience servicing domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
ASE certifications strongly preferred.
State repair certifications highly preferred.
Comfortable using scan tools, diagnostic software, and shop management systems.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
Diagnose complex drivability issues, check engine lights, and engine performance concerns.
Complete brake, suspension, steering, electrical, and engine repairs.
Use Autel, Snap-on, and Launch diagnostic tools to accurately identify vehicle issues.
Perform Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric.
Communicate diagnostic findings clearly with service advisors to support accurate estimates.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Consistently produce flagged hours while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
