Job summary

Group 1 Toyota Bowie is seeking a meticulous Tag and Title Support Specialist to join the Tag and Title Department. You will ensure all registration and titling documents are collected, reviewed, and tracked, coordinating with dealerships, financial institutions, customers, and internal teams to obtain missing items and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities include reviewing deal paperwork, maintaining accurate records in CDK, resolving document issues, and supporting cross-functional partners

Qualifications

• 2+ years automotive dealership title experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with dealership management systems (CDK or similar) is a plus.
• Knowledge of vehicle title and registration processes is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review deal paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Ensure all required title and registration documents are received before processing.
• Identify missing or incorrect documentation and coordinate corrections with dealership personnel.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical records in compliance with requirements.
• Track outstanding documentation and follow up to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate with dealerships, customers, lenders, and third-party vendors to obtain documents.
• Update document status and record in the dealership management system (CDK).
• Respond to documentation inquiries and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Partner with sales, finance, accounting, and management to resolve issues.
• Assist with title audits, reporting, and departmental recordkeeping.
• Support the Tag & Title team by balancing workloads and improving processes.
