Job summary

Ford Motor Company’s EVDD team seeks a System Software Integration and Validation Engineer to design, develop, and execute verification activities ensuring safety and performance of automotive software. You will build test benches, develop V&V plans, and implement automated tests while collaborating with hardware, software, and systems engineers.

Required are a Bachelor’s in EE/ME, 6+ years in automotive, and hands-on experience with CAN/LIN/Ethernet, HIL benches, and IDLs.

Qualifications

  • Automotive testing instrumentation and tools experience.
  • Proficiency in CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and FlexRay.
  • Experience with HIL test benches (dSPACE, Vector VT).
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration across HW/SW/Systems.
  • Ability to drive system validation from concept to production.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain automotive system level test benches with a focus on automation.
  • Develop verification and validation plans for automotive software systems.
  • Design and execute test cases and scripts to verify functionality, performance, safety.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to improve testing efficiency.
  • Integrate hardware and software components to create reliable test environments.
  • Lead debug with cross functional teams to identify root cause and prevent regressions.
  • Collaborate with software developers, controls engineers, systems engineers on V&V strategies.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and tools.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on verification activities.
  • Review warranty data to identify trends and corrective actions.
  • Travel up to 20% domestically/internationally.
