Job summary
Ford Motor Company seeks a Staff HV System Validation Engineer to define HV system requirements and validation strategies for the Universal EV platform. You will collaborate with software, mechanical, vehicle integration, and EPA teams to ensure safety and performance across the lifecycle.
Strong HV knowledge, hands-on testing, and leadership in a cross-functional team are essential for delivering reliable electric powertrains.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years in HV system requirement and validation
- 8+ years with HV engineering standards (ISO, IEC, NEMA, GBT)
- Deep knowledge of HV powertrain components
- Experience with HV batteries, traction inverters and motors
- Hands-on HV system testing and RCA experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and document HV system requirements from feature to component level
- Develop and execute HV system test plans for performance and safety
- Collaborate with SW, mechanical packaging, vehicle integration, and EPA range teams
- Lead validation activities for HV systems throughout the product life cycle
- Troubleshoot HV system issues and perform root cause analysis
- Use CAN tools to evaluate HV system functionality and performance
