Job summary

WorkGenius Group is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure world-class performance of prototype and production supply bases. You will drive continuous improvement, lead APQP/PPAP activities, and collaborate with Vehicle Systems Engineering to ensure manufacturability and risk mitigation.

Ideal candidates have experience with automotive or medical device supplier quality, Six Sigma and FMEA, and can travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

8+ years in Quality, Supplier Quality, or Manufacturing in auto/aviation/medical devices.
Experience with NPI and quality systems improvement.
Proficient in Six Sigma, 8D, Pareto, DOE, FMEA.
Knowledge of core tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, CP/CPK, PPAP.
Experience with Injection Molding, stamping, electromechanical assemblies.
ISO 9000 and IATF 16949 knowledge; CQE preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess manufacturability with Vehicle Systems Engineering.
Select suppliers with right knowhow via audits and feedback.
Review CAD models for manufacturability and manufacturability improvements.
Lead Supplier Industrialization Roadmap and capability assessments.
Identify supplier CAPEX and drive qualification activities.
Assess supplier readiness for vehicle build events; report risk plans.
Manage APQP from design to PPAP to SOP.
Train/set up supplier in QA portal; review submissions.
Lead RCCA analyses and implement containment and corrective actions.
Support manufacturing, quality, and vehicle engineering on suspect material disposition.
Analyze incoming supplier part quality metrics: FAI, Cp/Cpk, Pareto, SPC.
Drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
Travel up to 40% domestically/internationally.
