Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to apply automotive knowledge and customer service to run our busy retail store and develop as a future Store Manager.

You will partner with the Store Manager on daily operations, oversee inventory, staffing, and safety, and maintain strong sales and service standards, with opportunities to train and mentor teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive aftermarket or willingness to learn.
• Leadership experience.
• Customer care focus and relationship building.
• Thrives in fast-paced, complex environment.
• Knowledge of cataloging and inventory systems.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Background in automotive/heavy equipment/farm/diesel/retail management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager on daily operations, sales, inventory health, and staffing.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across channels.
• Model expected behaviors and customer standards.
• Manage opening/closing routines and facility readiness.
• Handle administrative tasks: scheduling, compliance, reporting, basic P&L awareness.
• Monitor store metrics and drive improvements.
• Provide leadership, training and mentorship to team members.
• Drive safety and asset protection.
