Sun Auto Tire & Service in Corte Madera, CA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, lead the customer experience, and coach teammates. You will partner with the Store Manager to ensure safe, efficient service and profitable shop performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach.
• Comfort using POS systems and basic computer tools, and basic math for estimates, invoices, and transactions.
• Ability to lead by example and work a schedule that meets business needs, including opening/closing shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations as manager on duty, including opening/closing, cash handling, facility checks, and end-of-day documentation.
• Partner with the Store Manager on scheduling, teammate assignments, shop workflow, KPI execution, and coaching to store standards.
• Lead a positive customer experience by greeting customers, documenting concerns, reviewing service history, and keeping customers updated throughout the visit.
• Present auto repair, tire, and maintenance recommendations clearly and transparently based on inspections, customer needs, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Help manage parts and tire inventory, including receiving, invoicing, returns, warranty tracking, and POS accuracy.
• Follow safety procedures, escalation practices, documentation standards, and company policies while helping the team deliver high-quality work.
