Qualifications

• B.S. in Materials Engineering or Materials Science from ABET accredited university.
• Minimum 2 years materials engineering experience with soft trim materials.
• Must excel in a team environment and have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and lead efforts.
• Ability to present to cross-functional teams and senior management.

Responsabilités

• Develop and engineer automotive soft trim materials for vehicle applications.
• Collaborate with Design Office, Product Engineers, material suppliers, and sub-tier suppliers on material formulation and specs.
• Support integration of materials into vehicle applications and ensure performance requirements are met.
• Lead short-term and long-term materials development programs.
• Evaluate, approve, and manage production material suppliers.
• Develop and improve materials, processes, and best practices for vehicle applications.
• Create, maintain, and update material specifications and standards.
• Provide technical expertise on vehicle interior materials.
