Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Textile, Materials Engineering or Materials Sciences with 5+ years in materials engineering for seating or soft trim.
• Experience with OEM/Tier 1 seating, trim suppliers is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop Automotive Soft Trim Materials (fabrics, synthetic skins, carpeting, leather) for Stellantis vehicle applications.
• Collaborate with Design Office, Product Engineers, suppliers to formulate, develop and specify materials and integration into vehicle applications.
• Approve production suppliers and manage short- and long-term materials development programs.
• Develop materials, processes, and best practices for interior systems; maintain material specifications and long-term strategies.
