Job summary

Berman Kia in Lincolnwood, IL is seeking motivated and experienced technicians to join our service team. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly pay scale based on experience and ASE certifications, with company-paid training and benefits.

You will diagnose and repair complex engine, transmission, and electrical issues, conduct multi-point inspections, and ensure work meets brand standards. Join a growing team with ongoing training and strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in an automotive repair setting.
• ASE Certifications are required.
• Enthusiasm for learning and hands-on technical work is essential.
• Understanding of automotive systems (engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, brakes).
• Ability to work in a team and take direction from senior technicians.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Work on engine, transmission, and suspension repairs.
• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to service advisors.
• Ensure repairs follow brand standards and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training and obtain higher certifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace and follow safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with the service team for smooth workflow.

Berman Kia is seeking motivated and enthusiasticexperienced techniciansto join our dynamic and growing service team!

Location: Lincolnwood, IL
Schedule: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Pay Scale: $20.50 - $47.50/HR (Based on Experience, ASE Certifications, and/or Training)

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, test and troubleshootmechanical and electrical issues.
• Workon complex repairs, including engine, transmission, and suspension work.
• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to service advisors.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are performed according to brand standards and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to continue advancing technical skills and obtain higher certifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
• Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
