Location: Chaos Fab Shop, Winchester, VA
Reports To: Shop Manager / Service Manager

Position Summary:
Chaos Fab Shop is looking for a motivated, organized, and hands-on Automotive Shop Operations and Facilities Coordinator to keep our shop running smoothly and help bring customer dream builds to life. This fast-paced, dynamic role blends administrative work, shop support, and hands-on tasks. You’ll manage inventory, assist mechanics, track projects, and help prep our incredible fleet of show and vehicles for events across the country.

You’ll work alongside an energetic team, support jaw-dropping builds, and help keep our shop fleet event-ready. Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise between manufacturers, vendors, customers, and mechanics.

  • Track project progress using shop management software.

  • Check in vehicles, conduct condition surveys, and update workflows.

  • Manage inventory; reorder parts and shop supplies.

  • Handle shipping and receiving; load/unload trailers and equipment.

  • Keep shop areas safe, clean, and organized.

  • Pick up and deliver parts to shops, customers, and vendors.

  • Assist the service writer with leads, quotes, and customer updates.

  • Help keep Chaos show and vehicles event-ready.

  • Support mechanics and shop staff with hands-on projects.

  • Jump into other tasks as needed — every day is different!

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.

  • Basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills.

  • Experience operating shop equipment (forklift, Bobcat).

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs; work indoors and outdoors.

  • Ability to connect, drive, and back up trailers confidently.

  • Knowledge of safety practices and vehicle loading.

  • Strong multitasking and teamwork abilities.
