Job summary

Hoselton Toyota in New York is seeking a Service Valet to be in the driver's seat of guest experience. You will greet guests, park and retrieve vehicles, and keep the service drive clean and organized. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with an hourly rate of $16–$17.

Candidates should have a clean NYS driver's license, be able to move actively, and pass a drug test. Manual transmission driving is a plus.

• Be ready to move and stay active throughout shift.
• Must have a clean NYS driver's license and pass a drug test.
• Manual transmission driving is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and assist with parking and vehicle retrieval.
• Maintain cleanliness of the service drive and guest vehicles.
• Assist guests in entering service drive and direct to appropriate departments.
• Washing, vacuuming, and basic shuttle vehicle cleaning as needed.
• Uphold safety regulations and company procedures at all times.

• Schedule: Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm
• Compensation: $16-$17 per hour

What does a Service Valet do?

Lot Management

• Assisting guests in finding parking in proper areas. This includes guests of all departments and stores
• Greeting all guests promptly, courteously, professionally
• Assisting guests entering service drive through area
• Maintaining awareness of, and complying with, all Hoselton safety regulations and processes
• Parking of guest vehicles in appropriate areas, tracking placement, and retrieving vehicles for pick up
• Surveying service parking lot to ensure only proper vehicles are parked there
• Reporting to supervisor any vehicles parked in an improper area. This includes used cars, trade ins, new vehicle stock, dealer trades, fire lanes, handicap designated spots, etc.
• Snow removal as needed. Brush snow from parked vehicles, move to allow for plowing, park in proper areas

Guest Assistance

• Meeting guests at their vehicles - greeting with a smile and self introduction
• Welcoming all guests and thanking them for their patronage
• Using customers first name whenever possible
• Walking guests to their destination
• Introducing guest to contact in desired department prior to leaving
• Making eye contact, smiling and acknowledging any guest within a 10-foot radius
• Assisting with answering questions for our guests. If answer is unknown, guest is to be escorted to any department manager for further assistance
• Making proper use of floor mats, seat covers, steering wheel covers to maintain cleanliness of guest vehicles
• Parking and retrieving customer vehicles as required
• Maintaining cleanliness of service drive
• Washing and vacuuming vehicles as needed
• Cleaning shuttle vehicles as needed or every Saturday
• Daily cleaning of rental and or loaner vehicles

General

• Maintaining and displaying a positive attitude
• Wearing clean, proper attire
• Assisting with general shop housekeeping
• Maintaining high work standards
• Strictly adhering to all set processes and procedures

You Must:

• Be ready to move, not a lot of sitting here!
• Be able to drive a manual/stick *highly preferred but not required
• Have a positive and friendly attitude
• Be computer literate and adaptable to technology
• Pass a drug test
• Have a clean and valid NYS drivers license
