Hoseltontoyota is seeking experienced Service Technicians to join their busy Toyota shop in the United States. The ideal candidates will perform vehicle repairs and maintenance in accordance with dealership standards. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• At least 1 year of shop experience preferred for mid-level technicians.
• Current group leader or leadership experience preferred for main shop technicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance according to dealership standards.

• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Road-test vehicles when required.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Automotive Technician performs vehicle repairs and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and perform repair
• Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer
• Complete an MPI on every vehicle worked on
• Advises service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
• Documents all work performed and recommended electronically on the repair order
• Road‑test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, keep in mind that customers’ vehicles should not be used for personal errands
• Interacts with customers in a professional and courteous manner (i.e., when asked to participate in a ride‑along)
• Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned
• Attends factory sponsored training classes
• Keeps current on factory technician bulletins
• Ensures that customer’s cars are kept clean
• Keeps shop area neat and clean and is always able to account for all dealership‑owned tools
• Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA, Right to Know, etc.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
