Job summary

Finnegan Auto Group is seeking a Service Technician to perform repairs and diagnostics on a variety of vehicles. You will execute repairs, provide accurate estimates, and ensure quality service in a fast-paced dealership environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards. A high school diploma and valid license are required; ASE certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification preferred.
• A, B, C level qualifications including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity and steady hand for precise work.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude and eagerness to improve.
• Team player capable of collaborating effectively.
• Willingness to learn new technology, repair procedures and specs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification preferred
