Job summary
PEP BOYS / Mavis Tire is seeking full-time General Service Technicians for our automotive centers in the Farmington Hills, MI area. You will perform essential maintenance and tire services, oil changes, and inspections, working alongside seasoned automotive professionals to help keep customers safely on the road.
Whether you have automotive experience or are starting out, paid training is provided. This role offers competitive weekly pay, weekly incentive compensation, medical/dental/vision
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on automotive environment.
- Have a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality service.
- Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required. Paid training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
- Performing flat tire repairs
- Completing oil and filter changes
- Checking and topping off vehicle fluids
- Performing basic vehicle maintenance and inspections
- Identifying visible tire and maintenance concerns
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Following established safety and service procedures
- Helping ensure quality service and timely completion of customer vehicles
