Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking a General Service Technician in New Jersey. The role involves performing basic automotive services such as tire mounting/balancing, oil changes, and vehicle inspections while delivering excellent customer experience. You will maintain a safe, clean shop and may advise customers on needed services.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license and passion for automotive work.
• Must be 18+ years old and a HS diploma or GED.
• Willingness to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic automotive systems (brakes, suspensions, cooling, electrical).
• Continuously learn new technical information in training sessions.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
• Install headlights and other bulbs.
• Repair flat tires.
• Stock and unload tires.
• Assist fellow technicians in technical activities.
• Keep management informed of mechanical repair problems.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and follow safety rules.
