Job summary

Boyd’s Tire & Service in Central Ohio is seeking a General Service Technician to perform non-technical service repairs and basic maintenance. You will work alongside ASE Certified Technicians and gain training to advance toward ASE Automotive Technician certification.

The role includes driving to pick up parts, performing oil changes, tire services, inspections, and contributing to a clean, safe shop environment. Growth opportunities and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive experience preferred, but we will consider energetic and hard-working individuals with a passion for cars.
• Ability to work Monday - Saturday
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass an MVR, and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner obeying all traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections following all company and state guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services as directed by the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
